Happy Holidays!

23 Dec

ImageChristmas is soon and I can’t help but reflect on all the wonderful things that have happened this past year. Oliver is now 20 months old and has quite the personality! He is very opinionated and will certainly let you know when things are not going his way. Despite that small (hereditary) flaw, he’s pretty awesome. He’s beginning to say more words which is always exciting, and it’s fun to watch him play and try and figure out all of his toys. It still continues to be a life adjustment having a baby, making time for myself is getting easier as he gets a little bit older.

I received a promotion at work this past year, I now work in Top Pot’s corporate office doing a smorgasbord of different things. Mostly HR related things, but I’ve been dipping in the accounting pool as of late. Going from working in the cafes to the office has been an interesting transition, but I can appreciate each of their differences. The major drawback has been the commute! My old commute was 10-15 minutes, now it averages 45-50. Eep.

I look forward to 2013, there are many exciting things in the works. In January, Kyle and I will be going to Palm Springs for his company’s annual meeting. In February, Kyle and I will be turning 29 — woah! There are some tentative plans happening in March that I’d rather not comment on, I’ll elaborate if things unfold according to plan. April, Oliver will be turning TWO!! Then in August my friend and college roommate Jessica will be getting married, just another wonderful excuse to go to California again! Kyle and I would like to attempt a family vacation this next year, as we didn’t really do anything “big” in 2012. I’m thinking something tropical could be in our future, but we’ll see…

I hope everyone had an interesting 2012, enjoy your holidays.

XOXO Denali
